It’s really important now for you to pull yourself up by your bootstraps. It’s up to you to become yourself again. Begin by accepting the breakup at face value. This doesn’t make it permanent. It just means you accept the past and are ready to try it again with your ex. It happens more than you might think. And what’s more, couples usually do better the second time.
Most of us take our partners for granted. It is just in human nature to do that. We don’t realize how much someone means to us until they are out of our lives.
So, what’s the secret? How do get I back together with them?
The first thing, though it may sound cruel, is crucial break up advice. Ignore whatever your friends have to say. They’ll only have your best interests in mind, but they’re not going to help you in this situation.
They’ll recommend something like, call them and tell them how you’re feeling. It may sound like good advice, but the problem is you’re not quite ready for that. If you don’t believe me, just think of how many arguments are caused by people calling the exes while they are in such a high strung mood.
Your first contact with an ex should be one where you can express what you have to say without getting into an argument.
This is why I recommend writing a letter to an ex. This way you’re in control of what you have to say. You can look it over and make it just perfect.
